     Facebook Page

Facebook is the most widely used social media site. Use Facebook Pages to generate awareness and to regularly communicate with your target audience. You can also use Facebook groups to build communities and to begin conversations.

  1. Login to your personal Facebook account, then go to

  3. Enter your company’s info, review Facebook’s terms, and click on “Get Started”.

     Instagram Account

As a mainly visual platform, Instagram is a great place to share your best visual content. Instagram is great for telling stories, highlighting products, and showing the look, feel, and culture of your business.

  1. Download Instagram.

  2. Sign up through email or Facebook.

Set up a free business profile.


With over 175 Million tweets daily, Twitter is a great place to share quick, digestible pieces of information. Their creative restraint of  140-character or less of text has created a place where live updates, debates, and quick insights are shared and received at rapid rates.

  1. Go to or the Twitter mobile app.

  2. Enter your full name, email address, and a password

  3. Click “Sign up for Twitter”.

  4. Select a username for your business

Click “Create my account”.


As the most recognized business-oriented social networking platform, LinkedIn is a great place to share business updates, press releases, and educational content.

  1. A personal LinkedIn account is required in order to create a LinkedIn Company Page.

  2. Login to your personal LinkedIn account at

  3. Click on “Interests” > “Companies” > “Create” (in the right-hand column, under “Create a Company Page”.

  4. Enter your company’s name and your email address, and click on the checkbox to verify you are the official representative of the company.

To publish your company page, you must include a company description and company website URL.


As a content saving and sharing site, Pinterest does well for tangible products and rich images. A few examples of pins that perform well on Pinterest include quotes, tutorials, blog teasers, and tangible product highlights.

  3. Fill out the details about your business and contact information.

  4. Review and accept the terms of service.

  5. Click on “Create Account”.
