Brent’s knack for disruption has proved useful while coding his way through Utah’s tech scene. A computer science grad from BYU, Brent started several software focused companies leading up to the launch of Blip.

Prior to founding Blip, Brent created Jive Communications in 2006. He served as CEO for 5 years while Jive became a leader in hosted telephony. In 2018, Jive Communications sold to LogMeIn for $357 million. After leaving Jive, traveling and playing for a few years, Brent found an opportunity to change the OOH industry with Blip.

Fun Facts

Brent is an avid mountain biker, and regularly sports a Vans t-shirt around the office.
Brent also serves on the board of the Community Foundation of Utah. The foundation focuses on local philanthropy and helps philanthropists manage their charitable activities.

James honed in on the convergence of technology and advertising as an entrepreneurial focal point early in his college career. Post graduation from BYU’s Marriott School of Business, James spent a few years on Utah’s digital marketing scene and then set out on his own to make his mark in the world of digital marketing and advertising.

A dynamic leader and self-taught technologist, James founded Infuseo, a tech-enabled digital marketing agency in 2011. As fate would have it, YESCO, a pioneer in digital billboard advertising was among Infuseo’s closest clients. With the perfect launch partner in mind, James and Brent approached YESCO with their vision in 2015, and it was eagerly adopted. The two founders began coding right away and launched Blip to the public in the summer of 2016.

Fun Facts

With a love for outdoor adventure, James, his wife, and 4 energetic young boys can frequently be found rock climbing, camping, biking, and boating. In order to keep the outdoor adventure in motion during the COVID-19 pandemic, James took advantage of Blip’s new-found remote work situation and relocated his family to Barbados for the winter.
